A Product Not Worth The Hype

I have expressed so many times how much I love Lush products, but that streak of skincare saviours has to end somewhere. As a girl with acne prone skin, and an overly oily face, I thought the Grease Lightning Spot Treatment would be the one for me. I was however, wrong. Lush products have never let me down before, and I was wrong. It was a very sad day. This stuff is a gel like consistency, and has quite a pleasant aroma. It is obviously antibacterial from its ingredients; tea tree and which hazel. I used this in the evening after cleansing and toning my skin by applying it to the affected areas with clean fingers (chin, nose, forehead) and waited for the product to take action overnight. It left my skin feeling tight, and almost itchy. It was weird, and didn't feel good. It felt as though I was wearing one of those cheap face masks. I can see how it could be good to mattify oily areas of the face, but I did not see any difference in my spots after using it religiously. Another issue I have with this product is the packaging. The pump is awful at distributing a normal amount of product, either too much, or too little. A bit annoying. The spot treatment is not a treatment for me, and I am thinking of giving it away so I don't have to look at it anymore!! This did not work for my skin, but it might for someone elses, so I wouldn't disregard it until you've tried it yourself.

  1. I wasn't a fan of this either! I didn't experience any of the weird, itchy sensations you did, but it pretty much does nothing for me. Actually, it's probably better than using nothing which is why I'm trying to use it up, but I definitely won't be repurchasing! I HATE the pump - mine doesn't even work anymore!
