Lush's Balm Cleanser

It is no secret that I am a huge fan of Lush, and the other day I ran out of my staple cleanser/makeup remover, so had to pop out to repurchase. Before using it, I thought I would take some photos of it in its pristine condition, and write a post to tell you all about the wonders of this product.
Lush's Ultrabland is full of natural products such as Almond Oil, Rose Water, Beeswax, Honey and Iris Extract. When its massaged into the skin, you can tell that it's all fresh and doing some badass things to your skin to make it more clean. I really like to help the circulation on my face, and help my complexion by almost kneading my skin, and thoroughly massaging. It's actually very relaxing too!
You only need to take a small amount of the product as a little goes a long way. Once my face has been generously cleaned, I take an almost steaming flannel, and gently wipe away the shiny film on my face. It leaves me feeling dirt-free and my skin looks plump and moisturised. I hear you asking, oil on an oily base? Yes. It really does work without adding more oil onto my face. It has basically saved my skin from all types of breakouts.
I usually go in with the Tea Tree Water as a toner to make sure all the product has been removed from my face. I highly recommend this product for all skin types. It is so gentle, rich and supple on the skin. Much better than a cleanser full of awful products that are bad for you. This is definitely a product worth your money (£10.95/100g) as it lasts so long. I had mine just over half a year, and used it almost every day, morning and night.
The main reason I love Lush is because they are completely against Animal Testing, and are for recycling and reusing packaging. It really sets them apart as a brand, as well as using completely organic and clean ingredients. A big thumbs up to the brand!

Which products to you love from Lush?

  1. I've heard of this but I never really knew what it was! I'm really interested in getting a balm cleanser and this one sounds super nice. How well does it remove makeup, especially heavier foundations and eye makeup? Is a double cleanse required?

    1. it removes makeup like a dream! maybe when you're wearing heavy duty waterproof mascara you should use a micellar water afterwards just to check it's all gone, but other than that it's brilliant. depends on your skin type. I double cleanse if me skin is feeling a bit more oily than usual. but I only tend to use this, then a bit of toner.

  2. Oh what have you just made me discover! I'm a sucker for cleansing balms, I love using them in my evening routine, and I'm always looking for a natural affordable alternative to the way too pricy Emma Hardie offering! I didn't know about this product, but this will come home with me next time I go in a Lush store for sure. My favorite Lush product is a cleanser as well, but totally different from this, the Lush Let The Good Times Roll, which I absolutely love in the morning!

    1. I haven't actually tried the 'let the good times roll' cleanser. i've used 'aqua marina' and 'herbalism' before and they both work a treat! 'ocean salt' is another favourite of mine! definitely go try out Ultrabland. it is the perfect cleanser!

    1. I always find myself wandering into Lush and getting overwhelmed by the smell, and amount of products! It's definitely difficult to look around each and everyone out!! Which is unfortunate!
      Thank you very much :)
