The Sun-Kissed Look

I know it is a bit early in the year to be talking about bronzers, but I can not help myself. For some reason I can't stop buying them. Isn't one enough?! I do alternate between them all, though. It is best being prepared for summer - the earlier the better!
To start off, my Topshop Bronzing Illuminator in Reflect. It blends beautifully into the skin with little, or no effort. It really does brighten the skin! When I put it on my cheekbones, it doesn't look orange or cakey. It is the idea ratio of shimmer:bronzer to give a luminous glow as if you have just been on a delightful long holiday. A stunningly buttery product.
The first bronzer that I actually invested in was NARS' Laguna. All the hype about it around the internet forced me to buy it, and I am glad that I did. I personally prefer this one for contouring on a day-to-day basis, but on a night out it is the perfect bronzer. The slight gold shimmer in it adds a gorgeous, healthy glow with a slightly warm tone.
The cheapest product here is Sleek's Face Contour Kit Yes. I know it isn't strictly a bronzer, but it needed a mention. It works hand in hand with bronzer to give your face a great structure, and makes your cheekbones look elevated. The shimmer in the palette is also substantial. It really gives your face a natural glow when caught in the light. Overall an exceptional little duo.
I can not stop praising Benefit's Hoola as it is one that I use the most. Although you have to be very light handed with it, it gives serious definition to the cheekbones. It is not orange in any way, and matte - perfect. Even the little brush provided is impeccable. Who would have thought that a brush with a product would be decent for once! I'm not going to lie, the packaging is not my favourite, I honestly think it is a tiny bit tacky. But OH WELL!

What is your best-loved bronzing powder/cream/gel?

  2. I rarely bronze up nowadays but adore the Clarins Colour Accent Face & Blush Powder and Nars Laguna to add a flush of warmth to my face. I might have to try out that Topshop one for a more affordable option!
